About Connected Consumers…

Liz Coll | Founder | Connected Consumers

I established Connected Consumers in 2020 after 12 years experience in international consumer tech policy and advocacy, covering critical issues like AI, e-commerce, sharing economy, data protection and smart homes.

Formerly Head of Digital at Consumers International, I produced the first ever G20 consumer digital summit and delivered multi-stakeholder programmes with policy makers, consumer associations and global tech companies. Prior to that I embedded new approaches to data empowerment and online consumer protection at UK statutory consumer bodies, Citizens Advice and Consumer Focus. My career began at the London School for Economics’ Centre for Analysis Risk and Regulation and from there I joined sustainability non-profit consultancy Forum for the Future.

Since setting up Connected Consumers, I’ve worked with a range of  diverse organisations, from large inter-governmental bodies to smaller campaign groups.

Drawing on my wealth of extensive networks and experience, I want to bring together people who question digital ‘business-as-usual’ and are committed to putting power, confidence and choice back into consumers’ hands.
